Food Fright is issue #1 of Teen Titans Go!
Cyborg is getting ready to eat his sandwich. He opens the fridge and finds out it's gone. This has not the first time this has happened and it's odd because whoever has been stealing hasn't stolen Raven's pizza. Whoever ate it also ate the security camera he installed too.
Cyborg tries to get to the bottom of this by interrogating the Titans, but gets nowhere. Cyborg installs a high-tech, state of the art security system to protect his sandwich. He goes to check on it and the security system works, but his sandwich is still gone. Robin then checks for a clue in Raven's pizza and a Pizza Monster emerges from the box and attacks the Titans.
It turned out that Raven got the pizza from her father Trigon who had made a specialty pizza for her…complete with demonic possession. The Titans are unable to harm it, until Robin notices that it had not taken Starfire's cake. It wouldn't take it because a demonic pizza monster would never take…Angel Food Cake! Robin throws "holy" cake at the Pizza Monster and causes it to explode. While the rest of the Titans argue about who is going to clean up, Starfire notices that Silkie is already doing that by eating the pizza. The issue ends with Silkie possibly becoming demonically possessed by the pizza remains as he hisses and grows Trigon-eyes, with the Titans unaware of this happening…for now!
- Robin mentions Brother Blood and Mad Mod, two Titans villains who also appeared in the original Teen Titan series.
- Starfire's crush on Robin is shown more in this issue when she calls him cute when he's interrogating her.
- The Pizza Monster and Silkie (possessed by Trigon?) have six eyes while Trigon and Raven (in demonic form) have four. This is possibly a reference to Trigon in the New 52, who now has either 6 eyes or 3 pairs (hence TRI-gon).
