The H.I.V.E. Five is a team of super villains.

They are also one of the Teen Titans' archenemies, who try to destroy them at any costs while robbing banks and committing other crimes in Jump City.

Bio[]

The H.I.V.E. Five is a group of super villains united under one goal: to destroy the Teen Titans. They also rob banks and terrorize Jump City. All of the money and cities are being stolen. Their main headquarters is the H.I.V.E. Tower, located within eye-range of Titans Tower.

In "Super Robin", the H.I.V.E. Five tried to rob a bank with their powers. The Titans arrived, and they began their first battle. Robin attacked Mammoth, but struggled to defeat him. The other Titans defeated the rest of the team very easily, and waited for Robin to defeat Mammoth. Exhausted and injured, Robin finally managed to defeat Mammoth, and the villains were arrested.

H.I.V.E

The H.I.V.E celebrates their victory over the Titans, which was shown in Artful Dodgers.

The H.I.V.E. Five returned to rob the same bank again in "Artful Dodgers", and even held the civilians hostage with a bomb to prevent the Titans from beating them. However, the Titans still managed to defeat them. Within 24 hours, the H.I.V.E. escaped prison, in order to join the dodge ball league. Their unbeatable dodge ball team defeated the Teen Titans, proving to be difficult foes for them. They later appeared robbing another bank, but this time with money. The Titans challenged Jinx, Gizmo, and Mammoth to another dodgeball battle, instead of arresting them. The H.I.V.E accepted, and defeat the Titans once again. They appeared for the last time during a convenient second tournament, and were ready to face the Titans, but the heroes cheated, which the H.I.V.E noticed. They still won, but Robin called the cops on them, and the Titans won by default.

In "Power Moves", the H.I.V.E. once again attacked Jump City, destroying everything in sight. The Titans arrived to defeat them, but before they could start the battle, Cyborg and Beast Boy decided to use the H.I.V.E. as test dummies to demonstrate the concept of "power moves" to the other Titans.

Oh snap

The H.I.V.E. fears the Titans' new violent behavior, which was shown in No Power.

In "No Power", the H.I.V.E. smashed the bank wall, and simply walk in and walk out with the money. When they got outside, the Titans ambushed them. The Titans all made a bet that involved not using their powers, so while Robin engageed in combat with Mammoth, the other Titans used random objects off the street to violently beat up the villains.

They all fear batman

The H.I.V.E fear Batman, which was shown in Sidekick.

In "Sidekick", the H.I.V.E. traveled all the way to Gotham City for unknown reasons and destroyed everything in their sight. Their attack came to a halt when the Batmobile arrived, and the H.I.V.E. froze in terror when they saw the shadowy, bat-like figure exit the car. The figure turned out to be Starfire in a Batgirl costume, and the H.I.V.E. members were angered to find their superhero nemeses traveled all the way across the country too. They all began to battle, while the Titans used Batman's gadgets to fight against them. However Robin tried to take back all of Batman's gadgets, which caused his teammates to lose the battle. Gizmo managed to take Batman's "Ultimate Bat-a-rang", and threw it at the now tied-up Titans. But as the Bat-a-rang flew up into the sky and exploded into fireworks, it turned out to be merely a toy for Batman. In the end, Robin managed to defeat them all with Batman's other gadgets and stopped the bomb that the H.I.V.E planned to set off.

In "Legs", the H.I.V.E. made a brief appearance, battling the Titans. Raven used her legs to defeat Jinx by kicking her in the face at rapid speed. Each of the other villains were also defeated quickly and easily by the Titans. Gizmo however escaped the battle, but was later defeated by Raven/Lady Legasus very quickly.

The H.I.V.E. just loitering, which was shown in Breakfast Cheese.

In "Breakfast Cheese", the H.I.V.E. were bored and they started loitering in a no-loitering zone. The Titans arrived and used extremely violent measures to K.O. all of the villains before sending them to prison. Later on, the H.I.V.E. escaped again, and continue loitering. The Titans, who had undergone a drastic change, came to defeat the villains with peace and love. The angry villains still wanted revenge for the violent beating they suffered earlier, and ignored the Titans' attempts at peace. Within mere minutes, the Titans were nearly defeated, and the H.I.V.E. began to torture them back. Robin whipped out his staff to fight back, but gave Jinx some flowers instead. Jinx became flattered, and Robin even gave Gizmo a flower. The other Titans continued to do nice things to the H.I.V.E., and the villains eventually gave up and befriended the Titans. Their friendship would not last, and the H.I.V.E. returned to villainy.

In "Opposites", the H.I.V.E. attacked a different bank than usual. While exiting, they started destroying everything in their way. The Titans arrived, and complained that the H.I.V.E. was being evil again. They all engaged in their most dramatic battle they had had yet. All of the H.I.V.E. were defeated, except for Jinx, whom Cyborg let to get away because of his crush on her. While the outraged Titans chewed him out, the other members of the H.I.V.E. sneaked away and avoided capture. Later that day, when Jinx was at a cafe, Cyborg showed up to spy on her. When she noticed him, she attacked him, but he didn't fight back and began to flatter her instead. In a matter of minutes, Jinx and Cyborg were in love with each other, and Cyborg gave Jinx a balloon that she took back to the H.I.V.E. Tower. While she was daydreaming about Cyborg, Gizmo asked her where she got the balloon. Not wanting to get exposed, she lied by telling him that she stole it from a baby. A few days later, Cyborg and Jinx were at the park on a date, when Robin and Gizmo finally busted them. Gizmo forbade Jinx from seeing Cyborg again, with Robin doing the same to Cyborg. Later at home, Jinx cried and cried, until Gizmo finally decided that they could all give up their villainous ways so she and Cyborg could be together.

The H.I.V.E. check out a crime, which was probably shown in Opposites.

The H.I.V.E. Five subsequently became superheroes, and responded to a distress call in Jump City. When they arrived, they found out that the Titans robbing the bank they robbed earlier. Ironically, the Titans also switched sides so Jinx and Cyborg could be together. However, since they were now villains and the H.I.V.E. were now heroes, they all began to battle again. Jinx and Cyborg argued until they broke up, and both teams switched back to their original sides. However, Cyborg and Jinx immediately reconciled their relationship and kissed, despite both getting electrocuted when kissing.

In "In and Out", the H.I.V.E. planned to upgrade part of their base into a battle station in space. Robin discovered this, and disguised himself as a villain. The H.I.V.E. allowed him to join, and later let all of the other Titans join, completely oblivious to their disguises. However, the Titans didn't listen to Gizmo when they are permitted to join, and as a result, beat up Mammoth. Later after all of the disguised Titans joined the H.I.V.E., Jinx became suspicious of the fact that they were similar to their arch-nemeses. The Titans became rude and annoying, and Jinx ordered Gizmo to get rid of them. Gizmo decided to blow up H.I.V.E. Tower instead of making them leave. The H.I.V.E. decided to go to the Reactor Core, but Gizmo also noticed that the time was set already. The Titans discovered this, and they revealed their identities, and broke out into an epic battle with the villains. The Tower blows up, leaving the H.I.V.E. without a home. Strangely, instead of arresting the H.I.V.E., the Titans allowed the H.I.V.E. to move into Titans Tower. The H.I.V.E. became annoying roommates similar to how the Titans were, which caused Robin to blow up Titans Tower.

TTG-MoneyGrandma-Hive

The H.I.V.E. putting bank money into their monster truck, which was shown in Money Grandma.

In "Money Grandma", the H.I.V.E committed another bank robbery, and all the Teen Titans (except Robin) fought with the group. Later in the tower, he replayed the video of the battle and had his face edited onto the other Titans.

In "Road Trip", the H.I.V.E went on their own "road trip" as well as the Titans. Cyborg decided to toy with them at first by splashing water on them while they were innocently gassing up their vehicle. They later appeared with no gas for their vehicle in the middle of the road, and Cyborg and Robin decided to prank Gizmo by offering him a ride, only for them to continue moving the car once he tried to open the door to get in. They later approached Titans for revenge for the last two events, by engaging in a battle with the Titans. At the end of the battle, the Monster Van crashed and exploded along with the H.I.V.E. Five.

Mouth-Hole-Preview-Robin-Whistling3

The H.I.V.E. getting Robin to look at the Hole, which was probably shown in Mouth Hole.

In "Mouth Hole", the H.I.V.E members had gone away from the H.I.V.E Tower, so the Titans took advantage of this fact and infiltrated the base to see what their next evil plans are. The Titans left Robin to whistle as a signal that the H.I.V.E had appeared, but he could not whistle unfortunately, and as a result, got them sent flying out of the Tower. The H.I.V.E later held the other Titans hostage as Gizmo was about to test his "Death Laser" on them, when Robin, after getting trained by the "Whistle Master", arrived. Gizmo commanded the others to attack, but failed. When only Gizmo was the last one standing, he tried shooting the laser at Robin, but Robin managed to counter it with his whistling power, and sent Gizmo flying out of the tower.

Mammoth, Jinx, and Gizmo stealing the hot tub

Mammoth, Jinx, and Gizmo steal the Titans' "hot tub", which was shown in Real Boy Adventures.

In "Real Boy Adventures", members Gizmo, Jinx and Mammoth were shown stealing the Titans hot-tub. When the Titans arrived to stop them, Gizmo asked what happened to Cyborg, as he was shown to have become a real boy. When Robin, who stole Cyborg's robot suit, accidentally knocked the other Titans out with the rocket boots, Cyborg was left alone. As the H.I.V.E. members surrounded him (with Jinx briefly flirting with him), Cyborg decided to take them down with his real boy abilities. He threw cards at Jinx (whom he apologized to and told her to put ice on her face), stepped on Mammoth's foot, and launched Gizmo in the hot-tub, who screamed in pain, thus defeating the three.

In "Let's Get Serious", the gang were robbing a bank in a hidden area, and placed their money inside of the H.I.V.E. Five Monster Van but were interrupted by the Titans, who try to battle them. But before they could, the Young Justice took them out separately. They were then apprehended and later get taken by the Young Justice.

Jinx also made a tiny cameo with Starfire and Raven having a third "Girl's Night Out". They appear again, with each of them using materials from the president of the City in order to send a murder satellite in a artic area in order to explode the Earth (despite them not having an escape), but the Titans, who had gone through a drastic change, took them out without any problem. After the H.I.V.E. got defeated, the rocket still launched, but the Titans were able to stop it in time.

TheHIVE

The H.I.V.E. getting ready to rob a bank together, which was shown in "Multiple Trick Pony".

In "Multiple Trick Pony", the H.I.V.E. robbed a bank as usual. The Titans tried to stop them, but we’re interrupted by Kid Flash, who took out Mammoth within a second. Kid Flash got attacked by Jinx, but she failed, instead getting tipped over. Gizmo swung his robot's arms randomly to try stopping Kid Flash, but he broke the robot arms, causing Gizmo to fall face flat. See-More and Billy Numerous tried to stop Kid Flash as well, but ended up in a collision by double teaming. The H.I.V.E. were then defeated, and presumably arrested.

In "Yearbook Madness", the H.I.V.E made cameos in Robin's yearbook, with various pictures of Jinx, Gizmo, Mammoth, and See-More. Jinx also made a cameo in one the various clubs in a scene with the girls. They appeared later when Robin beat up Gizmo and Mammoth for signatures in his yearbook. When Billy Numerous showed up, Robin also demanded him for signatures, where Billy duplicated and give signatures as obliged.

GizmoInLocker

A picture of Gizmo getting slammed into a locker, which was shown in "Yearbook Madness".

In "Operation Tin Man", the H.I.V.E. kidnapped Cyborg, and the Titans decided to call Gizmo. Gizmo threatened that he would only give back Cyborg if they would offer him a huge amount of money for a ransom. Cyborg was seen in the background sitting by Jinx and Mammoth, and Mammoth had to cover Cyborg's mouth when he announced he always hanged out with Jinx. Gizmo and Cyborg then started arguing, maddening Jinx who wanted the two to stop arguing. But as she walked away, they resumed their argument. When the Titans arrived, Gizmo used a spring trap and bounced them into the water. Afterwards, the H.I.V.E. Five discussed their new plan on their screen, when Cyborg hacked the screen and showed files of Gizmo as a baby, amusing Mammoth, See-More, and Billy Numerous. Gizmo was agitated and he almost shot Mammoth and See-More. Gizmo decided to get his revenge by using a device to make Cyborg manoeuvre by a remote he uses. When Cyborg was with Jinx, Gizmo manipulated Cyborg to make him act rudely, causing him and Jinx break up. After enough shenanigans, Jinx sent both Gizmo and Cyborg to Gizmo's room, where Gizmo showed Cyborg a flying gadget that was going to be used to kill the Titans. Cyborg fixed it for him, and then they made the gadget fly to the Titans Tower for spying on the Titans and mess with them, where they ended up blowing some parts of the tower, and laughing together. After they started getting along with each other and the rest of the H.I.V.E. happily, they called each other best friends forever, and made Mammoth tear up in awe. Suddenly, the other Titans arrived, and angrily shot missiles at the H.I.V.E. with the T-Plane, causing the H.I.V.E all ran in fear. The Titans then seized Cyborg and blasted the H.I.V.E. Tower, causing Gizmo, Jinx, Mammoth, See-More, and Billy Numerous to all fall in the water.

Gizmo declares a day off

Gizmo delcaring a day off to the H.I.V.E., which was shown in "The H.I.V.E. Five".

In "The H.I.V.E. Five", the H.I.V.E. were in a meeting in the H.I.V.E. Tower, and discuss how they had been having a rough time because of the Teen Titans thwarting their schemes and ruining their lives. Gizmo had a plan, but he got interrupted by Robin in a call who asked if Fred is there. Oblivious to who was calling him, Gizmo told Robin he has the wrong number, and ended the call. He announced they would no longer be at the mercy of the Titans thanks to his latest plan. But before he could continue, he got another call from Starfire, who asked the same question as Robin's, and Gizmo remained oblivious. He continued and declared that the era of the Teen Titans would come to an end thanks to his latest plan, but once again gets interrupted by the Titans, this time being Cyborg. Cyborg asked in another voice if he could talk to Fred, and Gizmo said that there wasn't a Fred at the H.I.VE. Tower. Within a matter of seconds he got interrupted again by the Titans, being Beast Boy, and they all laughed when he successfully pranked Gizmo. Gizmo got mad and shot his phone, reiterating his hatred for the Titans. Mammoth wanted to continue hearing Gizmo's latest plan to crush the Titans, but Gizmo changed his mind and said that didn't feel like dealing with them today, adding that he wanted the team to take a day off. Jinx asked if they could shoot murder missiles at the Titans, Billy Numerous asks if they could train then release a pack of dogs, Mammoth asks if they could fill the city with jerk seeking murder fog, but Gizmo declined all of their requests and told the team they need a day of rest and relaxation. See-More got the idea that by resting and relaxing p, they could make the Titans think they would go soft, and then they could shoot the missiles at the Titans, with the others agreeing with him. Gizmo wanted the others to not engage, but soon again got pranked by the Titans. But despite getting steamed, he still told the H.I.V.E. to rest, relax, and have a day off, befoee flying out the tower's ceiling angry.

However, the Titans still did not let the H.I.V.E get easy. When See-More was drawing a man at his caricature spot, and Cyborg who spotted it, launched the man out of the seat, and wanted See-More to draw him. However, Cyborg repeatadly interrupted See-More, and eventually pushed him where he got stressed. When he showed Cyborg the caricature, Cyborg instead disparaged it publicly, leaving See-More to shed a tear, while spotting a black cat. While the black cat walks was causing bad luck to those who pass, Jinx noticed her and decided to have fun with her. Starfire noticed Jinx and asked her if she was planning to commit crimes. Jinx tried not to engage, but Starfire knocked her over, and noticed the black cat. Jinx told Starfire the black cat isn't hers, though Starfire asked in return if it's Jinx's, with Jinx admitting it belonged to no one, so Starfire and her let the kitty decide who she wants to be with. Contrary to what Jinx expected, the kitty picked Starfire, and the two walked away, injuring Jinx in the process. Meanwhile, Mammoth was dancing on the street, when Beast Boy noticed and ensued a dance off with each other. Beast Boy made a finishing move and managed to steal the crowd though, which angered Mammoth. As for Billy Numerous, he was having a baseball game with all of his clones by himself, and managed to imitate an entire baseball game with a crowd and food give outs. One of Billy Numerous' clones, made a strikeout, which hit Raven, who was angered and duplicated herself to beat up all of the Billy Numerous. Meanwhile Gizmo dressed himself up as a tall, funky man and walked around Jump City, helping people and brightening their day. Robin nonetheless caught Gizmo and beat him up until Gizmo explained that he was only trying to have a day off and be tall, and he narrowly escaped being continually beaten by Robin, who then walked away. Back at the tower, Gizmo asked if the gang were rested and relaxed, which they all rumbled in response. Just as Gizmo was about to tell them his a new plan, he again got prank called again back the Titans, much to his anger and frustration.

In "I'm the Sauce", the H.I.V.E. answered Robin's call to play Head Up, Seven Up in order to cheer up the clouds to end a rainy day. They agreed to play after they were promised to have chocolate milk. Gizmo, Jinx, and See-More's thumbs were chosen during the game.

In "Scary Figure Dance", the H.I.V.E. planned on destroying a candy factory on Halloween, but were interrupted by the Teen Titans, the H.I.V.E. destroy it with Gizmo's Death Laser. The disgruntled Teen Titans followed Robin's plan unknowingly to get deliberately shot by the Death Laser, and the H.I.V.E., unaware that they had fallen into their scheme, celebrated by heading to the tower. While the H.I.V.E. were initially enjoying their Halloween, they soon heard ghastly noises from the Titans. Paranormal actions started happening to them, such as the TV changing channels on it's own. Lightning cracks, and the H.I.V.E. scream and run. They try to think of what to do to get through the situation, and they decide to do a seance. The Teen Titans as ghosts were summoned by their seance, and the H.I.V.E. begged the Teen Titans to stop, but Titans refused. When they claimed the Titans weren't scary, they scared them and the H.I.V.E. run away in fear, splitting up. They ran through a montage of getting scared, from getting slime all over their bodies, to getting possessed, to even having awkward elevator rides. After reconnecting with each other, See-More asked what they would do, to which Gizmo responded they had an idea but they wouldn't like it. Back in the hospital, the H.I.V.E. told the Titans that the doctors fixed them up by restoring their bodies. After they all agreed how fun the experience was, they all danced together in a song.

In "The Scoop!", the H.I.V.E got attacked by Starfire who blasted them single-handed, and she took away their scoop. Gizmo then stole the scoop back to lure Starfire into their tower so that they could trap her. However, the scoop suddenly came to life and refused to acknowledge them as its owner, even easily beating them up, and they ended up being hurt by the crashed ceiling after the four other Titans barged in.

In "Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Second Greatest Team Edition", the H.I.V.E participated in the talent show, and managed to outwit the Titans by stealing the Titans' songs. They even managed to expose the Titans' past cheating as revenge, although the contradictory is they have cheated as well.

In "Stockton, CA!", the H.I.V.E were seen robbing the bank. But after the city's population dwindled to zero, they no longer could steal for a living.

In "Forest Pirates", the H.I.V.E mocked the Titans at the canoe race, which provoked the latter to revenge against them. At first, the pirate Titans managed to beat them, but they still got away after the Titans were attacked by bears. But they soon met their punishment after being covered in honey as bears began to strike them mercilessly too, and they fell off a waterfall, thus losing the race.

In "Titans Go Casual", the H.I.V.E were pilfering the bank as usual, and the Titans, who were dressed in causal clothes, arrived to try putting a halt to their robbery. But after they realized the Titans were deprived of their powers, Mammoth effortlessly sent them flying. They continued their crime when the now professionally dressed Titans arrived, and both sides engaged in a duel. This time, the Titans swimmingly defeated the H.I.V.E. with their newfound expertises, and the team of villains ended up getting compiled humiliatingly.

In "The Cast", Robin got paranoid about the H.I.V.E. while being stuck in his wheelchair upon seeing Cyborg sneaking to the H.I.V.E. Tower, so he sent the other Titans to investigate, and only got more paranoid about the villains after his friends started disappearing. But upon arriving at the H.I.V.E. Tower, it turned out Jinx was going to have a surprise birthday party, and Robin only ruined it for the other H.I.V.E. members by accidentally spilling the beans.

In "Villains in a Van Getting Gelato", Gizmo was with Brother Blood, The Brain and Doctor Light for the majority of the episode, though he did mention him and the rest of the H.I.V.E. lost all of their money when the Titans intervened their robbery and Robin burned all of their stolen money.

In "Fat Cats", Mammoth, Gizmo and Jinx stole some money from the bank, only for Beast Boy to snatch part of their loot, much to their sadness.

Trivia[]

  • While in the previous Teen Titans series, Slade was the Titans' main arch enemy, but in Teen Titans Go!, however, the H.I.V.E. replaced Slade for the role.
  • Kyd Wykkyd was a member of the H.I.V.E. in the orginal series. However, he has made no appearances alongside them in Teen Titans Go! He was probably omitted to leave the team with five members, hence the name, "The H.I.V.E. Five."
    • Despite not being on the team, Kyd Wykkyd is still shown to be a villain and enemy of the Titans, as shown in "Nose Mouth" and "I'm the Sauce".
    • Private H.I.V.E. was also a member of the group in the original series for a short while. Unlike Kyd Wykkyd, however, he hasn't made any appearances in this series.
  • Jinx left the H.I.V.E. in the fifth season of the original series to join the Teen Titans as a Honorary Titan. In Teen Titans Go!, she is a member of the H.I.V.E. again.
  • They were the first villianous team to appear in Teen Titans Go!
  • All members of the H.I.V.E. are reprised by their returning voice actors from the previous series, with the exception of Billy Numerous. Lauren Tom voices Gizmo and Jinx and Kevin Michael Richardson voices Mammoth and See-More. Billy Numerous, was voiced by Jason Marsden in the original series, but is instead voiced by Scott Menville in Teen Titans Go!
  • Jinx was the leader of the H.I.V.E. in the original series. She appeared to be the leader in this series at first, but it was confirmed in "Opposites" that she isn't. Instead, Gizmo is the leader, while she is second-in-command. In the original series, it was the other way around.
    • In the original series, Gizmo took over as the leader once Jinx left the H.I.V.E.
  • They and Control Freak are the only villains to have appeared in every season of the series thus far.
  • The H.I.V.E. Five and Doctor Light are the only recurring villains in the series who were redeemed more than once but who always returned to be villains again. In the case of the H.I.V.E., they got redeemed two times, in "Breakfast Cheese" and "Snuggle Time" and in both episodes they returned to be villains before their next appearance, thougt in both the reason was never explained. Doctor Light got redeemed three times and in all he returned to his villain life before the end of the episodes.
    • In "Opposites" they also left their villain activity to become crime fighters, but that was for helping Jinx with her relationship with Cyborg and not because they really wanted to become good.
  • Despite being villains, the H.I.V.E. Five are invited to some hero events as Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Second Greatest Team Edition, the Superhero Summer Camp in Forest Pirates or Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Dance Crew Edition.
