Trivia

Continuity

  • The design for Sweet was inspired from the cover art seen on the "Night Begins to Shine" cassette case in the 40%, 40%, 20% episode.
  • The cover art also appears to be like a mural depicting the prophecy mentioned by B.E.R. and the Evil Dragon.

References

  • Along with Cyborg, when Fall Out Boy transformed themselves into vehicles and into Fall Out Bot, it's a reference to Marvel's Transformers.
  • Fall Out Boy's transformation into vehicles is a reference to several properties from the 1980's.
    • Each vehicle is a direct reference to a different film or TV series from the 1980's
      • A DeLorean DMC-12, a reference to Back to the Future and its sequels.
      • A 1983 GMC Vandura van, a reference to the TV series The A-Team (the van has similar decals to the van that appeared in The A-Team).
      • A Bell 222 helicopter, modified to appear exactly the way it appears in the TV series Airwolf (save for the color scheme).
      • A 1986 Ferrari Testarossa, a reference to the TV series Miami Vice.
    • The manner in which the panels of Fall Out Boy's vehicles flip-out to reveal weapons is a direct reference to the 1980's animated series M.A.S.K.
    • The combining of the vehicles to form "Fall Out Bot" is a reference to the 1980s Transformers animated series, but it is likely a stronger reference to another animated series from the 1980s: Voltron.
      • As with the lions in Voltron, each Fall Out Boy vehicle is associated with a single dominant color.
        • DeLorean is blue.
        • GMC Vandura van is green.
        • Bell 222 helicopter is yellow.
        • Ferrari Testarossa is fuschia.
      • The style of Fall Out Bot is very reminiscent of Voltron.
      • The fight sequence with the giant robotic centipede is also very reminiscent of the fights in Voltron:
        • The individual lions would often attempt to fight a giant monster before declaring that they were going to "Form Voltron."
        • The Fall Out Bot formation animation highlights the four colors of Fall Out Boy's vehicles coming together, as with Voltron's formation from its five lions.
        • Voltron would often first fight the monster unarmed before forming its sword and using the weapon to finish the monster, as Fall Out Bot did.
        • The animation sequence of Fall Out Bot's sword formation and final attack is in a style almost exactly mirroring those seen in Voltron.

Errors

  • TBA

Running Gags

  • The Titans shouting out the names of new characters entering the fight against the Evil Dragon.
